Terms of service

Last updated October 7, 2026

The short version: our prices are listed up front, you own your finished website once the build is paid, and you can cancel maintenance at any time. If we sign a written quote or agreement with you, it takes priority where it differs from these terms.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use webbuild.tech and when you hire Webbuild ("we", "us") to design, build or maintain a website. By using the site or our services, you agree to them. If you have a question, email welcome@webbuild.tech.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and may change. Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to break it, overload it or send spam through the contact form.

Our services

We offer two plans:

  • Essential: a custom website, $500 one-time build, plus $50 a month for maintenance.
  • Motion: a custom website with animation, $1,000 one-time build, plus $100 a month for maintenance.

Before we start, we'll send you a written quote that sets out what we'll build. If you need something beyond the quote, we'll agree it with you, including any cost, before doing the work.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars.
  • The build fee is paid once, as set out in your quote.
  • Maintenance is billed monthly, in advance, starting when your site launches.
  • Not included: your domain name, email accounts and any outside services you choose, like an online ordering, booking or payment system. You pay those providers directly, and we'll tell you about any of these costs before you commit.
  • If a payment is late, we may pause work or maintenance until it's paid. We'll always tell you first.

What we need from you

  • Your content, such as text, logo and photos, and permission to use it. You confirm you have the rights to everything you send us.
  • Feedback within a reasonable time, so the project can keep moving.
  • Your content must be lawful. You're responsible for your own business's legal requirements, such as your own website privacy policy or order terms, and we're happy to help you set these up.

Design, revisions and timing

We design your site around your brand and adjust it with your feedback. Timelines are estimates and depend on getting your content and feedback on time.

Maintenance

Maintenance covers software and security updates, regular backups, fixes if something breaks, and changes you'd like to add, like new text, photos or prices. If a request is a bigger project, like a brand-new section or feature, we'll tell you before starting and agree on it together.

You can cancel maintenance at any time by emailing welcome@webbuild.tech. It stops at the end of the month you've already paid for. See our refund policy.

Who owns the website

  • Your content stays yours.
  • Once the build fee is paid in full, you own the final design and the content we create specifically for your site.
  • Some parts, like fonts, code libraries, stock images and hosting, belong to others and stay under their own licences. We only use items that are licensed for your use.
  • We may show your finished site in our portfolio. Just tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

Outside services

Your site may rely on services run by other companies, like your hosting, domain registrar or point-of-sale system. Their own terms apply, and we aren't responsible for their outages or changes, though we'll help you work through them.

Our responsibility to you

We do our work with care and skill. We can't promise particular business results, such as search rankings or sales. If something we built doesn't work as agreed, we'll fix it at no extra cost.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.

Ending our work together

Either of us can end a project with written notice. You'll pay for work done up to that point, as explained in our refund policy, and we'll hand over everything you've paid for.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes don't apply to work already agreed in a quote. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
